Diathonite Evolution

An insulating plaster of hydraulic lime, diatomaceous earth, pumice and perlite blended with cork and natural fibres. λ 0.045 W/mK at 360±20 kg/m³, vapour-open (μ=4, 71.64% porosity) for breathable insulation. Non-combustible A1 (EN 13501-1), CE and UKCA marked, holds an EPD, with LEED v4/4.1, WELL v2 and BREEAM contributions stated. Especially suited to retrofitting older buildings inside and out.

Good for

  • Breathable insulating plaster for older masonry where boards can't go
  • Wet-applied insulation retrofits where condensation and moisture control matter

Consider

  • The EPD original and issuer are not on the page (unread), and whether the cork is by-product-sourced is unstated.
  • λ 0.045 is higher than board insulation (0.036–0.039), so thickness must compensate; Korean availability unconfirmed.
