Pineapple leaves, an agricultural waste, are used as a leather-alternative sheet that can be applied as a surface material for bags, furniture and craft.

Consider

  • The finished product is a fully coated nonwoven. It is not a “100% pineapple leaf” material.
  • The biodegradability claim is limited to the Piñafelt substrate under industrial conditions. It must not be read as applying to the whole finished product.
  • The finish layer contains PU (polyurethane), so it is not a pure single natural material.
